The Circle Dancers Bag is knit on circular needles (24" to 36" cables) and uses two strands of worsted weight wool held together throughout. It is a bottom-up construction with absolutely no seaming required. All color patterning is done using mosaic, or slip stitch, knitting techniques (not stranded, or fair isle). Pattern includes 3 charts.

Yarn used in pattern: Patons Classic Wool
2 skeins "Black," 2 skeins "Too Teal," 1 skein "Leaf Green"

Gauge: 10 sts & 14 Rnds = 4" in Stst using US size 15 (10mm) knitting needles and yarn held double.

Finished size approximately 16"x22" pre-felting and 13"x18.5" after felting.

The Feng-Huang (Chinese Phoenix) pattern is a top-down design written for using 2 circular needles, although you may choose the method most comfortable for you. Main stitch pattern is charted in two sizes.

Pattern is shown in Denali light fingering weight sock yarn from Pagewood farms in colorway "Really Red."

Gauge: 32 sts & 44 Rnds = 4" in Stockinette stitch in the round using US size 1.5 (2.5mm) needles or size to obtain gauge.








REQUIREMENTS:
•Yarn: This pattern calls for approximately 100-110 yds of heavy worsted/aran weight yarn. Yarn shown is Patons SWS in Natural White.
•NEEDLES: US size 7 straight/circular for cuff & 1 set of US size 8 double pointed needles for hand. •GAUGE: Cuff: 28 sts & 32 rows = 4" in seed stitch. Hand: 18 sts & 24 rnds = 4" in Stockinette stitch in the round.
•EXTRAS: 2 buttons measuring approx. 3/4" diameter 2 stitch markers for noting lace pattern. *Buttons shown are "Sand dollar" from Roosterick Designs
